College Football Playoff Rankings 2018: Top 25 projections for Week 10
By Zach Bigalke
Oklahoma State will climb up into one of the last few spots in this week’s College Football Playoff Top 25 thanks to their survival of comeback-minded Texas in Week 9. The Cowboys built up a 31-14 lead in the first half, then held on as the Longhorns clawed back points against the Pokes after the intermission.
Taylor Cornelius was 23-of-34 for 324 yards and three touchdowns against the Longhorns secondary, carving up Texas defenders all over the field with his arm. Justice Hill led the way on the ground with 92 yards on 23 carries, while Chuba Hubbard added 80 yards and a score. The Pokes gave up just over 400 yards of offense in the victory.
Now that they are going to be ranked again, Mike Gundy’s squad prepares for a tough November. Three of the last four regular-season games take place on the road, with the Cowboys going to Baylor and Oklahoma over the next fortnight and closing out the year in Fort Worth against TCU.
