2019 NFL Mock Draft: Projected first round after Week 9
We’re still six months away from the 2019 NFL Draft, but top prospects across college football are starting to separate themselves from the pack after Week 9.
The depth on the defensive side of the ball in the 2019 draft class is staggering, particularly along the defensive line where Pro Bowl caliber players could be found in the middle-to-end of the first round.
Identifying the top offensive players, particularly at quarterback, is a lot tougher. Teams with needs under center could potentially punt this draft and wait for the likes of Tua Tagovailoa in 2020 instead of reaching for a prospect this year.
The big draft news of the last week was the Raiders acquiring their third first round pick in a trade that sent star wide receiver Amari Cooper to Dallas. Jon Gruden has continued his roster overhaul in Oakland since taking over the head coaching position, having already traded All-Pro pass rusher Khalil Mack before the season started.
As is, the Raiders have a lot of draft capital to begin a rebuild as they prepare for their move to Las Vegas at the start of the 2020 NFL season. They are joined by just the Green Bay Packers in having more than one first round pick.
What will the Raiders choose to do with those picks? When will the first quarterback come off the board?
Let’s find that out and more in the latest version of our 2019 NFL Mock Draft:
