It was a crazy weekend for Pac-12 football in Week 9 with four favorites losing to teams in the lower portion of the league.

What a weekend. One team that did survive, though, was Washington State, which put itself on course for the season-ending championship game with an upset of Stanford on the road.

Washington, Oregon, Colorado and USC all suffered losses, with the Buffaloes and Trojans each dropping home games to Oregon State and Arizona State.

Like the Cougars, Utah stayed in prime position with a win last Friday over UCLA.

With just a few weeks left, both Washington State and Utah can win out and reach the Pac-12 title game. The Cougars are a half-game up in the loss column on Washington, with the two still to meet, and a whole game – plus the tiebreaker – ahead of Stanford now in the North division.

The Utes are a game up on both USC and Arizona in the South division.

At the beginning of the season, neither Washington State or Utah were expected to be here as we move into November, but the two programs have figured out any preseason issues to thrive when it matters most – on the field.

Here’s a look at the Week 9 power rankings in the Pac-12 Conference:
