5. KJ Hamler finishes with at least 10 touchdowns

KJ Hamler is hands down the best receiver to date for the Nittany Lions. The redshirt freshman will cross the endzone at least 10 times before the regular season concludes.

Penn State wide receivers this season cannot catch the ball. Before the season started, Juwan Johnson was predicted to be the receiver to take the next step to lead the team. Johnson, Brandon Polk, and DeAndre Thompkins have all been disappointing thus far. Hamler has been the most consistent.

On the season, Hamler is leading the team in most receiving categories and it is not even close. He has totaled 498 yards on 28 catches and five touchdowns. He also has one rushing touchdown and has been electric on special teams despite not finding the end zone.

With six total touchdowns with four games remaining, it is pretty easy to see how Hamler can get to 10 touchdowns. He should be able to even get 10 receiving scores, but it just feels like he’s ready to break one the distance on special teams. Either way, he has been a fun player to watch and the Nittany Lions need to keep feeding him the ball.
