Alabama finally plays a challenging opponent and Mike Leach is College Football Playoff bound? All that and more reasons to be excited for Week 10.

Week 10 is upon us and that means the college football season is creeping ever so closely to the championships games and bowl season. There are four undefeated programs left in FBS football, and three are facing possible elimination from that distinction. Clemson, Alabama, UCF and Notre Dame all play this week. The Crimson Tide face LSU, Notre Dame faces Northwestern, UCF faces Temple and Clemson faces Louisville. I would be very surprised if all four teams survive week 10.

All of the conferences are on display with a big game in week 10 except the Pac 12 and ACC. The Big 12 has a nice matchup of West Virginia at Texas, the SEC has Alabama at LSU, and the Big Ten has Penn State and Michigan. Heisman trophy candidates like Will Grier, Tua Tagovailoa, and McKenzie Milton (if he plays in week 10) will all need big games to keep their programs and themselves in the spotlight.

Off of the top 25 radar the nation is waiting to see if Oregon has completely fallen apart as the Ducks face their former coach in UCLA headman Chip Kelly. Washington State can keep their playoff hopes alive with a win over the Cal Bears, while Oklahoma needs a big win over pesky Texas Tech to keep their playoff hopes alive, too.

Week 10 is a make or break type of week and here are my 5 reasons to be excited for Saturday to finally arrive.
