Saturday 7:00-8:30

Notre Dame at Northwestern, 7:15 p.m. EST, ESPN

If Notre Dame is going to fall apart, which they do every year, it starts here. Northwestern is by no means a good team, but they seem like the exact kind of team to upset Notre Dame. They get the game in prime time at home, and this just feels primed for an upset.

One sentence sell: Can Notre Dame survive a super obvious trap game?

Alabama at LSU, 8:00 p.m. EST, CBS

This is the College Gameday game, and one of the few top five matchups we’ve seen thus far in the season. Obviously Alabama is widely expected to win, but LSU is the best team the Tide have faced. If any team can keep Alabama from running away with the title this season, it’s LSU and their stifling defense.

One sentence sell: It’s a night game, on CBS, in Tiger Stadium, between two top four teams.

Oklahoma at Texas Tech, 8:00 p.m. EST, ABC

Lubbock at night is a very, very scary place to play. The Sooners are awesome this year, but with Texas Tech’s awesome offense, their improving defense, and Oklahoma’s tackling issues, this feels like a potential upset. I think the Sooners win, but I could very easily see Texas Tech knocking through a game-winning kick and thousands of fans storming the field.

One sentence sell: Put this on a split screen on a computer and keep an eye on it in case things get weird.
