Bumps and bruises are a natural part of the game. Here’s the status of some of the nation’s top players in the Week 10 college football injury report.

It’s Week 10 and some teams are limping to the finish. Find out who is in and who is out for Saturday’s exciting slate of games.

Quarterbacks

Charlie Brewer – Baylor

The Bears starting quarterback in is concussion protocol ahead Baylor’s game against Oklahoma State on Saturday. Brewer struggled mightily last week against West Virginia, throwing three interceptions and only completing one pass. Jalan McClendon will start in his place if he can’t suit up and has plenty of experience, playing in six games this season. Baylor is 4-4 with a tough road to a bowl game ahead.

Justin Herbert – Oregon

Herbert cleared concussion protocol, returned to practice and will play against UCLA. Herbert has thrown for 2,069 yards and 20 touchdowns this season. The Ducks (5-3) have dropped two straight and were demolished by Arizona 44-15 last week.

Zack Annexstad – Minnesota

Annexstad is still nursing a midsection injury that caused him to be hospitalized. It may not matter when he recovers, as freshman Tanner Morgan played terrific in his first start, a win 38-31 win over Indiana. Morgan will start against Illinois this weekend in a game the Gophers have to win if they want to make a bowl.

Deondre Francois – Florida State

Francois has not practiced this week and it is looking less and less likely he’ll play against NC State on Saturday. Sophomore James Blackman would start in his place. While Blackman has only thrown five passes this season, he started 12 games for Seminoles last season and was named the MVP of the Independence Bowl. The Seminoles have limped to a 4-4 record this season, with the inconsistent play of Francois being one of the main issues.

JT Daniels – USC

Daniels will return to the starting lineup after missing last week with a concussion. The Trojans lost to Arizona State 38-35 without Daniels in the lineup. Daniels has thrown for 1,618 yards and eight touchdowns this year.

Alex Hornibrook – Wisconsin

Hornibrook has been cleared to play in Wisconsin’s game against Rutgers on Saturday. Wisconsin was upset by Northwestern last week, putting them in a tough spot looking up in the Big Ten West. Hornibrook has thrown for 1,251 yards and 11 touchdowns this season.
