3. Miles Boykin averages 100 yards per game

Wide receiver Miles Boykin has been building a rapport with Book ever since the two connected on a 55-yard game-winning touchdown in last season’s Citrus Bowl victory over LSU. Since that game, Book and Boykin have connected 28 times for 409 yards and six touchdowns over the course of five games.

Book has done a fantastic job of spreading the ball around as the Irish currently have four receivers with over 27 catches. While Chris Finke, Chase Claypool, and Alize Mack have all carved out important roles with Book under center, it is Boykin who leads the team in both receptions and yardage.

Also, two of Boykin’s top three games came with Book under center. Most importantly, those two games came against Stanford and Virginia Tech, two of the Irish’s toughest matchups outside of Michigan.

Boykin has undeniably been Book’s top redzone target this season, recording at least one touchdown in each of his last four games. However, Book may need to look Boykin’s way more often than not with four teams that demand respect left on the slate. Look for Boykin’s production to rise as the Irish make their final push for the College Football Playoff.
