1. The Aggie defense bounces back in a big way vs. Auburn.

If you didn’t already know Texas A&M struggled severly against Mississippi State on the defensive side of the ball. Their secondary was gashed repeatedly and was simply embarrassed on third down and long situations — three of those ending in touchdowns for the Bulldogs. For the top defense in the conference, that wasn’t something that they were expecting for sure.

While the defensive line was pretty stout, at least as much as it could be, it was the secondary that just couldn’t keep up with the legs and arm of Nick Fitzgerald. Honestly, the guy has been a thorn in the Aggies side for a few seasons, but I think this one hurt more than any of the years before. With a new coaching staff and a new attitude, being gashed like that was frustrating to say the least.

My bold prediction? This one is a big-time bounce back for the Aggie defense, and likely the offense too. Look for a turnover or two and a sack or three by the time the clock hits zero. That unit will not allow themselves to be embarrassed again and will be fighting to start a month that is normally filled with negative on a good note for the Maroon and White.
