West Virginia football enters the month of November at No. 13 in the CFP rankings and their four biggest games still ahead. At 6-1, how high can they climb?

Dana Holgorsen and the Mountaineers are sitting atop the Big 12 conference in a three-way tie with the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns – both of whom they’ve yet to face this season. Each team is 4-1 in conference play, but the Sooners are 7-1 overall while the Longhorns are 6-2.

West Virginia will get an opportunity to knock off the Longhorns on November 3 when they travel to Austin to face Tom Herman‘s squad. Also on the slate in the coming weeks for the Mountaineers are TCU on Nov. 10, Oklahoma State on Nov. 17, and Oklahoma on Nov. 23.

It seems like forever ago that quarterback Will Grier and the Mountaineers’ offense was simply scoring at will and running opponents out of the building – save for their Thursday night beatdown versus Baylor. but while the offense has been up-and-down, Tony Gibson’s defense has continued keeping the ‘Eers in every contest and in the national conversation.

What should we expect of the Mountaineers in November and the rest of the season? Is another 10-win season possible? Can the ‘Eers reach the Big 12 Championship? Only time will tell, but here are five bold predictions.
