1. Tua Tagovailoa is the best player in the country

There are some players around college football that make an impact on a weekly basis. And others that do it every now and then. But Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa is different from the rest.

The sophomore quarterback continues to shine week in and week out playing for the best team in the country. Yes, Nick Saban has surrounded him with high-level talent, but that isn’t any different at Georgia, Notre Dame, Clemson, USC, Texas or any other school in the country.

Tagovailoa, though, is different. After coming on in the national title game last year, and by holding off Jalen Hurts for the starting job in the preseason, the Hawaiian has proven his abilities. And even though more and more teams are gaining film on him, they have yet to come up with a way to contain him.

Sure, LSU finally ended his streak of not throwing an interception, but did it bother Tagovailoa? Not at all. Instead, he recovered and had 295 yards against quite possibly the best secondary in all of college football.

This was supposed to be the biggest test to date for Alabama. Now, they have a clear shot to run the table with Mississippi State, the Citadel and Auburn left before the SEC title game against Georgia in December.

He even out-rushed the entire Tiger team with 49 yards, as LSU accounted for just 12 on the ground.
