3. D’Andre Swift is really, really good

It doesn’t seem to matter the season or year for Georgia when it comes to putting out high-quality running backs on the field. Right now, that pressure falls on the legs of D’Andre Swift.

Swift set a new career-high with 156 yards and scored twice vs. Kentucky, including an 83-yard burst that put the game out of reach at 28-3. Coupled with the 115 yards by Elijah Holyfield, the Bulldogs were able to churn out a season-high 331 yards on the ground in securing their spot in the December SEC Championship game.

That marks a second consecutive appearance there for Georgia, and at the same time, kept the Wildcats from getting their first spot there since it was created in 1992.

Swift and Holyfield were going up against the nation’s top scoring defense in this one in Kentucky, along with a unit that had not allowed anybody to score over 20 points. None of that mattered to them, as they helped Georgia score three times through the first two quarters-plus.

This marked the second straight time that Swift, a sophomore, has surpassed the 100-yard mark, as he did it for the first time last week vs. Florida with 104 yards. He also has over 1,000 yards in his career for the Bulldogs.
