3. Trayveon Williams gets back on track.

Junior running back Trayveon Williams was the talk of the town leading up to the season. While he held the rushing crown for the conference for a while after beating Kentucky and Benny Snell, a slow October pushed him out of that spot and into the second place hole. Now, of course it isn’t to say that Williams should be ashamed or disappointed in himself. He was simply shut down by the likes of Mississippi State and at times South Carolina and it shows in the numbers.

The second place spot isn’t a bad place to be, especially not when some other running backs are getting reps late in the season. However, it isn’t at all where Williams wants to be and that will easily show in November of 2018. It does help that the team isn’t really facing any overly strong defenses down the stretch, LSU notwithstanding. This month is shaping up to be a pretty big one for Williams in terms of statistics and his highlight reel.

My bold prediction? This month pushes Williams over the 1,000-yard mark for the season as he prepares to make the decision of staying for a senior season in 2019 or leaving for the NFL. That larger than life decision won’t distract the junior by a longshot. This could easily be the best month of Williams’ career as he puts the pedal to the metal and fights for every last yard.
