Despite strong defensive play for the majority of the game, Texas A&M football was unable to bring home a win against the Auburn Tigers.

Texas A&M had a 10 point lead late in the game, but it wasn’t enough to get a win at the start of November for the Aggies. In a heartbreaking loss full of penalties in the final 90 seconds that ultimately killed the hopes and dreams of those in Maroon and White.

Let’s talk takeaways though while I start to cry and suffer from Battered Aggie Syndrome once again.

3. The Aggie secondary was quite disappointing.

The Texas A&M back line was strong from the start of the game, however, it was a huge disappointment later on. In the final drive of the game the secondary was unable to make the necessary stops they simply have to make.

This team needs help in a big way with the secondary. The defensive line is just fine, that much is for sure. However, when your secondary cannot stop the passing game you aren’t going to win very many games at all.

Shoutout to Kingsley Keke, Landis Durham, Tryel Dodson and company. You did the best you could. However, the secondary just was absolutely atrocious once again this week and while it wasn’t as bad as last week vs. Mississippi State, it was heartbreaking as this team had a ten point lead late in the game and weren’t able to cash in on a needed win.
