Clemson Football: 5 players who earned Blitz Stickers in Week 10
By Dana Becker
2. Travis Etienne, RB
Travis Etienne has been relatively quiet in the past few weeks leading up to the Louisville game, as the sophomore went for just 39 yards vs. NC State and 45 against Florida State. But on this day, Etienne was in a groove, averaging over 19 yards per attempt and running for 153 and a score.
Etienne, who leads the ACC with 15 rushing touchdowns, surpassed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career in the win. He has five 100-yard games this season, with a career-high 203 vs. Syracuse in a four-point win.
While some might be upset or turn bitter about the way things had gone, Etienne remained upbeat and didn’t cause any issues with his lack of production. Of course, he did score three times against NC State.
After racking up 766 yards last year and 13 touchdowns, Etienne now has 28 career scores in a Clemson uniform and is the unmatched leader of the backfield that is one of the best and deepest in all of college football.
