Louisville gets hammered at Clemson
Not one person expected Louisville to beat Clemson. But it was the manner in which the Cardinals lost is what is worth mentioning. Clemson destroyed Louisville 77-16.
Louisville looked completely helpless against the Tigers. Late in the third quarter, the score was 63-3. The Cardinals scored garbage time touchdowns that clearly did not matter. Clemson turned over the ball twice, only had possession of the ball for a little over 22 minutes, and still racked up over 660 yards. Louisville had no answer.
Louisville appears heading for a 2-10 disaster of a season. With games left against Syracuse, NC State, and rival Kentucky, 10 losses seem like a certainty. Most thought the Cardinal offense would be worse without Lamar Jackson this year, but the Cardinals have completely tanked without him. It would not be a surprise to see coach Bobby Petrino shown the door at the end of the season, but he has a heavy buyout of 14 million dollars.
