The selection committee released their second set of College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday night, on the heels of statement Saturday. Which teams did they get right and which teams did they get wrong?

Statement Saturday in college football didn’t provide the hierarchy change that some hoped for, with the powers-at-be asserting their dominance. There was, however, plenty of parody outside the Top 10 that shook up the middle of this week’s playoff rankings.

There was plenty of debate about the rankings last week, particularly with UCF debuting behind a two-loss team, and the absence of some top teams from the group-of-five such as Houston and Utah State brought plenty of criticism.

The lack of transparency from the committee will continue to be debated as long as this system is in place, much like the oft-maligned BCS was during its run. Whatever system eventually takes the place of our current one will face just as much scrutiny as well.

For now, this is the system that we have, for better or worse.

Here’s how the committee laid out their Top 25 on November 6:

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Michigan
5. Georgia
6. Oklahoma
7. LSU
8. Washington State
9. West Virginia
10. Ohio State
11. Kentucky
12. UCF
13. Syracuse
14. NC State
15. Florida
16. Mississippi State
17. Boston College
18. Michigan State
19. Texas
20. Penn State
21. Iowa
22. Iowa State
23. Fresno State
24. Auburn
25. Washington

Alabama and Clemson seem to have separated themselves from the rest of the pack this season, and seem to be on a collision course in the playoff for a fourth consecutive year. The rest of the top five offered little surprise, either, but did the committee get it right? Here are the biggest hits, misses, and questions following the Week 11 ranks:
