Oklahoma State football: 5 reasons it’s frustrating to be a Cowboy fan
The latest loss for Oklahoma State football, to the Baylor Bears in Week 10 of the 2018 season, pushed the frustration of the fans over the edge.
Once every so often, Oklahoma State football makes it very difficult to be a fan of a team with the roller coaster ride you will take emotionally. There’s a few teams in the nation that make it very difficult to be part of the fan base in general, especially in the Power Five conferences. Falling short of expectations is a reality for any fan, though.
This list is quite obviously difficult to come up with an interpret for fans of different mindsets and different programs. Each fan is going to have their respective frustration with their team, unless the fandom belongs to the Alabama Crimson Tide or Clemson Tigers. Those two fan bases should be squared away with the current state of those programs.
On the other hand, programs like Oklahoma State are defined by the inability to get over the hump. It takes a lot out of a fan base like that of Oklahoma State football when the team gets the hopes so high that national contention is realistic and then it all comes crashing down in the blink of an eye. And, when that happens over and over in the span of just a few years, the patience runs very thin.
Some other fan bases that experience similar difficulties of frustration and impatience at this point of the 2018 season include the Georgia Bulldogs, Wisconsin Badgers, and Oregon Ducks. A program that has the makings of contending for a national title without being able to execute over the span of more than a decade is clearly frustrating.
Here’s a look at the five biggest reasons why it is so frustrating to be a fan of the Oklahoma State Cowboys football program.
