Pac-12 Football Power Rankings, Week 10: Washington State controls West
By Dana Becker
Washington State remains in control of Pac-12 football and the lone conference school with a legitimate chance at the College Football Playoff.
The Cougars pulled out a 19-13 victory over California, staying a game ahead of in-state rival Washington, who topped Stanford. The two meet at the end of the year with the North title on the line and a spot in the Pac-12 title game at stake.
Over in the South, things are definitely interesting. Utah, which lost starting quarterback Tyler Huntley for the season, was downed by Arizona State, leaving four schools with three losses and the other two with four. The Utes are tied at 4-3 with USC and Arizona, with the Sun Devils sitting at 3-3.
Who will emerge to face either Washington State or Washington? At this point, it could be any of the four, but Arizona and Arizona State are both riding two-game win streaks at the moment, tied for second behind the Cougars in the conference.
Winners from Week 10 were Washington State, Washington, Oregon, USC, Arizona State and Arizona, as UCLA, Oregon State, Colorado, California, Utah and Stanford were all on the wrong ends of the scoreboards.
Here’s a look at the latest power rankings in the Pac-12 Conference.
