The Tarheels stay at the bottom of our rankings this week after getting gashed by the Georgia Tech triple option. They gave up 461 yards on the ground and the Yellow Jackets also attempted two passes for 104 yards and a score. It’s safe to say Larry Fedora will be fired at the end of the season, and a 2- 9 record should be the result as they travel to Duke, then face Western Carolina and NC State at home to finish out the season.
Louisville could not stop the ground the game of Clemson, while Trevor Lawrence and backup quarterback Chase Brice were able to pick apart its secondary as the Tigers cruised to a 61 point victory. Neither quarterback can move the ball down the field for the Cardinals as they finished with a 50% completion percentage and two interceptions. The Cardinals face Syracuse on the road Friday night which should be there seventh lost in a row.
The Seminoles did a couple of good things on offense as James Blackman threw for over 400 yards and four touchdowns. However, the defense could not stop Ryan Finley who picked them apart for three touchdowns. The playcalling has been confusing for the Seminoles, as they have one of the best backs in the country in Cam Akers, who only ran the ball 10 times. This led to head coach Willie Taggart giving up the playcalling duties after this latest loss. With three games remaining on the schedule against top 25 teams they could end this season on a five game losing streak.
