4. Gus Malzahn, Auburn

All aboard the Gus Bus right? Wrong. Apparently being one year removed from a trip to the SEC title game isn’t enough to keep you in a job when you work at Auburn University and are trying to compete with the likes of Alabama for relevancy in the state itself. Yeah, the wheels have all but fallen off the Gus Bus at this point.

Sure, he pulled off a win over Texas A&M in Week 10. However, the Tigers were able to mount a comeback as the Aggies absolutely collapsed following an interception by Kellen Mond late in the fourth quarter. It was more of an Aggie loss than an Auburn win, but to each their own in how they look at that one.

This week they face off against Georgia, a team that they were able to upset a year ago in route to a trip to the SEC Championship. However, we are far removed from the team that was able to knock off both Alabama and Georgia in the regular season. We are now in the realm of the most underachieving team I have ever seen out of Auburn and that, in itself, will get Gus fired provided he doesn’t find a way to knock off Georgia and probably Alabama too.
