3. Bobby Petrino, Louisville

This Louisville team is in absolute shambles and that is putting it nicely. Petrino has a classic case of “my team was carried by a superstar quarterback for a couple of years and now I have no idea what to do.” He should become friends with Kevin Sumlin, he knows all about that kind of issue: see Texas A&M with and without Johnny Manziel. Simply put, Lamar Jackson leaving for the draft was the nail in the coffin for Petrino.

While this could be a false report and the program denies it, it is going around that Louisville has had 20 players ask for paperwork on transferring. Now, does this mean that all 20 will go through with it and actually transfer? No, not at all. However, what it does mean is that Petrino doesn’t have a handle on this team and very few players seem to want to be there.

Louisville needs a win in the worst way. After falling to Clemson 77-16, the only thing to erase such a negative experience is by doing the same to another team. Will they blow Syracuse out by 60 points? Unlikely. Heck it’s unlikely that they’ll even win this game, but one can dream right?
