Oklahoma Shootout

Kyler Murray and Lincoln Riley are the most iconic coach-quarterback paring in the Big 12. And rightly so. The No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners are 8-1 so far this year with the College Football Playoff still well within reach. However, in-state rival, Oklahoma State has plans to ruin the Sooners’  playoff plans and win bragging rights.

This game, last year, ended in favor of the Sooners with a score of 62-52. This year’s game will look similar due to the combination of both teams having high-powered offenses and questionable defenses. The game being played at Oklahoma definitely gives the Sooners the advantage. However, you can never sleep on Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy.

Oklahoma State has struggled much more than expected this year with a record of 5-4. However, these in-state games mean so much more than just a win and loss for the current season. There are huge recruiting implications and momentum swings for each program after this annual game. The Sooners should come away with the win in this Week 11 matchup. However, should the Cowboys win, the entire College Football Playoff picture would change dramatically.

Prediction: Oklahoma 55 – Oklahoma State 48
