2. A bruised ego won’t get in LSU’s way

LSU was hyped up for the battle against Alabama, a battle that could keep LSU in the running for a playoff spot despite their single loss on the season to the Florida Gators. However, all that hype wasn’t enough to knock off the Tide. It wasn’t even enough to score on them as LSU was shut out 29-0 in Week 10, live from Death Valley.

Yeah, that one hurt. LSU has been shut out at home four times in the past 25 years. All four of those came against Alabama. Yikes.

To say that the Tigers ego was bruised after that one is putting it mildly. Their fans were so sure that this was a team that was going to make the trip to the playoff, but that was quickly shut down by Alabama. Don’t worry though Tiger fans, the Tide have done that to everyone. What you do need to worry about is how the team rebounds from that level of disappointment.

My bold prediction here? LSU rebounds in a big way from the bruised ego they suffered from being shut out by the Tide. College Football is all about having a short memory when it comes to mistakes and struggles. LSU needs to do just that to get the win versus Arkansas on Saturday.
