In a battle for relevancy in the SEC West, Ole Miss heads to Kyle Field to take on Texas A&M football. Here’s everything you need to know.

Texas A&M (5-4, 3-3) is reeling as they are currently on a two game losing streak. After road loses to Mississippi State and Auburn, this team is trying desperately to figure out how to finish games and establish themselves as the team Jimbo Fisher wants to be.

On the other side is another team that sits at 5-4, Ole Miss. The difference the Rebels are 1-4 in conference play with their only win coming against a struggling Arkansas team who has all of two wins on the season. That isn’t something to be proud of for sure. Their lack of defense could be a big time issue against Texas A&M this week, though Jordan Ta’amu’s arm could also kill the Aggies.

Here is how you can watch this matchup:

Keys to Victory

For Texas A&M, they must shut down Ta’amu and keep AJ Brown a non factor. Both of those guys can come back to bite an already struggling Aggie secondary and easily take control of the game. Kellen Mond will also have to grow up, in a sense. He has not done well under pressure and is now under immense pressure to find a conference win.

For Ole Miss, they will need to establish their offense quickly. Texas A&M’s defensive front has been strong this season, but their secondary has been a weak spot for sure Ta’amu will need to get his offense going and ready to exploit the weaknesses of the Aggies.

Prediction

This is honestly the Aggies game to lose. Ole Miss’ lack of provides an outlet for Trayveon Williams and Jashaun Corbin to really stretch their legs and boost their numbers. If the defense shows up much like they did a season ago, this could be a long afternoon for Ta’amu and company. Though that will come down to the play of the offensive line for the Rebels.

Final Score: Texas A&M 31, Ole Miss 17
