Alabama football blew out the Bulldogs of Mississippi State, just like everyone expected. What did we learn about these two teams after this all-SEC contest?

The Tide is without question the best team in college Football. If someone thinks they can argue that, they may be certifiably insane. We saw quite a few questionable calls that swung the game in favor of Alabama, but overall the Tide bested Mississippi State in every category.

What did we learn about both squads on Saturday night?

3. Tua Tagovailoa is likely the best quarterback of this decade.

Tagovailoa is easily the best quarterback of the decade at least in college football. The next closest would be Russell Wilson from his time at Wisconsin, but honestly, I think that Tagovailoa may have eclipsed Wilson in terms of how he has performed on the field as a true sophomore.

What did he do last season? Oh just come in during the second half of the National Championship and blow up what was a double-digit lead by the Georgia Bulldogs. That’s no big deal right?

Now, as a true sophomore, he has led his team on an undefeated run. He has yet to play in the fourth quarter. He threw 25 touchdowns before he threw an interception and when he did throw one against LSU and then Mississippi State, his defense takes care of business. Oh, and he has led his team on 24 scoring drives in which they never faced a third down. That is insane.

At this point, if you turn away you may miss yet another big play by Tua Tagovailoa and company. However, his knee injury may derail his stellar season.
