1. A fully healthy D’Andre Swift is the best RB in the conference

A nagging groin injury slowed sophomore D’Andre Swift early in the season, but he’s back to 100% now. With due respect to Benny Snell Jr., Trayveon Williams, Damien Harris, and his own teammate Elijah Holyfield, D’Andre Swift is the best running back in the SEC when he is healthy.

He’s racked up three consecutive 100+ yard rushing performances in three critical games for the Bulldogs to ensure his team a place in the SEC Championship game. He’s getting better and better every week, and his play is elevating the Georgia offense and taking pressure off of sophomore QB Jake Fromm.

Swift racked up 104 yards on just 12 carries against Florida, followed that up with 156 yards on 16 carries against Kentucky, and then ripped off 186 yards on 17 carries against Auburn, which included a 77 yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter that was the backbreaker for the Tigers. Making it all the more impressive is Swift has done his damage against very good defenses.

Teaming with Holyfield, Swift gives Kirby Smart a one-two punch that is eerily reminiscent of last season’s Nick ChubbSony Michel duo that helped deliver the Bulldogs an SEC Championship, and brought them within one-play of a national championship. Swift is rounding into form right in time as the Bulldogs prepare for a playoff push.
