1. Maybe, just maybe, Ed Orgeron is a good football coach

There has been quite a bit of laughter and jokes at Ed Orgeron’s expense since he took over the LSU program. His lack of ability to speak proper English and the never ending stories of adventures in recruiting with Ed is. However, at this point, looking at the 2018 season, maybe Ed isn’t as bad as people thought.

First, and likely most important, his players have bought into him and his philosophy. For a program that expects success and wants it right now, it is a big deal that the players have bought in to their coach and are playing their hearts out for him.

Like I said earlier, Orgeron is also 8-0 in his career at LSU after a loss. That is a statistic that LSU fans really like to look at. He hasn’t let big games scare him either, as the Tigers have one of the best resumes in college football right now.

The Bayou Bengals will be making a New Year’s Six berth and a lot of that is due to their head coach and his defensive coordinator. Good job, Ed.
