1. Utah showcased serious resiliency

Who would have thought that after losing a starting quarterback and star running back that Utah would be taking down a team like Oregon that has one of the best gunslingers in all of college football?

Utah’s defense stepped up, holding Justin Herbert in check, for the most part, while the Ducks’ run game could never get going. The home-field advantage played a role, but the Utes just looked like the better team, and that’s wild to say when considering the production they lost.

Moreover, the Utes were coming off a tough loss against Arizona State on the road. Not many teams can bounce back after demoralizing road losses against a divisional foe while losing a running back-quarterback duo, but the Utes are a different story.

This team showcased the resiliency necessary to compete for the Pac-12 South title and there’s a good chance they’ll be headed to the championship game in a few weeks.
