It only took 22 consecutive wins for the UCF football to start getting the attention they deserve. Here is what hosting College GameDay means to UCF.

After the Week 11 win over the Navy Midshipmen, the UCF Knights extended their winning streak to an incredible 22 games. 22 consecutive wins in any sport, especially at the collegiate level, is nothing short of amazing.

The streak started in 2017 against FIU. Within the past year, UCF has gone undefeated in the 2017-2018 season, won an AAC Championship, shocked the world by beating Auburn in the 2018 Peach Bowl, claimed themselves the 2017 National Champions, and are now the No. 12 team in the most recent College Football Playoff rankings.

UCF is among four teams that are still undefeated this season. The others: No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson, and No. 3 Notre Dame. So, you may ask, how is UCF all the way at 12 despite a nearly identical record (UCF has nine wins where the rest have 10)? Good question. That’s all I have to say about that…for now.

In Week 12, ESPN’s College GameDay will be taking place at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where the UCF Knights will be taking on the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Let’s take a look at what College GameDay coming to UCF means to this school, the players, and the community.
