The Week 12 slate in college football is mostly a dud, but there are a couple of noteworthy big matchups, and a few juicy undercards, that should satisfy the diehard fans.

Week 11 didn’t bring with it the chaos that we’ve grown accustomed to. In fact, the AP Top 10 went 10-0 for the first time since 2009 in Week 11 or later. Traditionally, Week 11 has been a stumbling block for Top 10 teams, with at least three going down in every year of the playoff era thus far.

As such, status quo continues to reign supreme across college football, with the dreams of a chaotic 2007-esque scenario drifting further and further away from reality.

Only two weeks remain in college football’s regular season. Wait. That can’t be right. Two weeks?!??!?

WHY GOD?!? Why are you doing this to us?!?!

Like a shooting star, the college football season is as beautiful as it is brief. Gracing us with its presence for a short time before we aimlessly wander the wilderness of the offseason and reluctantly turn our attention to placeholder sports.

Not all is lost, however, as we’re just a week away from rivalry weekend and then conference championship weekend, which promises to bring with it big-time matchups with big-time stakes.

As for Week 12…… woof. It’s an ugly slate, no use in sugar-coating it. Picking out 10 games to pick this week was brutal considering the amount of teams that are using this as a glorified bye week to prep for their arch-rivals next week (looking at you, SEC).

If you’ve got some yard work to catch up on, or if you’ve been promising your significant other a date or a weekend trip, this is the weekend to do all of that. If you were going to do the unthinkable and schedule a fall wedding, the week before Thanksgiving would be the optimal time to do so.

If you’re caught up on your honey-do lists, or you’re just a college football junkie like me, there’s still plenty of enjoyment to be scraped out of this weekend, with a couple of marquee matchups that could have major implications on the playoff race.

Let’s break down the top games of Week 12, and make some picks.

Last week: 5-5 overall; 5-5 ATS (Season: 37-13 overall; 24-23-1 ATS)
