The 2018 Heisman Trophy race is shaping up to be a two-man race as we head into the final weeks of the season. Can the other challengers catch up?

The 2018 Heisman Trophy race will more than likely come down to Kyler Murray and Tua Tagovailoa. Although the race is still Tagovailoa’s to lose, pedestrian performances could allow Murray to gain ground as we head towards conference championship weekend.

Before we get into this weeks top five let’s take a look at our honorable mentions.

No. 7: Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin

Wisconsin took another tough loss at Happy Valley this past weekend, but it wasn’t due to Jonathan Taylor. He’s one of the top three running back’s in the country and made the Penn State defense look like third stringers as he ran the ball 20 times for 185 yards. Taylor has run for over 100 yards in nine of the 10 games for the Badgers this season. They travel to Purdue this weekend and the Boilermakers have been a pesky opponent in a lot of their Big 10 contests.

No. 6: Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson

Clemson continues to roll and the running game has helped freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence make an easier transition to the college game. Traveling to Chestnut Hill to face Boston College, the talented sophomore had a solid if not spectacular game against the Eagles. He ran the ball 11 times for 78 yards but failed to find the end zone. He will need to put up better numbers against Duke and South Carolina if he wants to get an invite to New York.

Now let’s take a look at our top five Heisman Trophy contenders after Week 11.
