Notre Dame Football: 5 reasons Irish will beat Syracuse in Week 12
Notre Dame football may be facing its toughest test to date against Syracuse at Yankee Stadium. Here’s why the Irish will beat the Orange.
In what is likely the best matchup on paper in college football this weekend, Notre Dame looks to pass one more test by taking on an upstart Syracuse team, led by head coach Dino Babers and quarterback Eric Dungey, in neutral-site game at Yankee Stadium in New York City.
The Orange present the toughest test remaining on Notre Dame’s schedule as the Irish finish out the year with a road trip to Los Angeles to face a sub-par USC squad.
This game could be interesting for a couple of reasons. The first is the weather, most of the tri-state area was engulfed in a winter storm on Thursday night, dumping four to six inches of snow throughout the New York City metro.
The second is the health of Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book. He missed last week against Florida State, however, Brandon Wimbush had no issue with the Seminoles and it is uncertain exactly how healthy Book will be as he is expected to play.
This is certain to be an exciting game that before the season, not many expected this game to be worth much of anything outside of it being played in Yankee Stadium. But, here are the reasons why Notre Dame will leave New York City victorious.
