Brett Rypien threw for 222 yards with three touchdowns, hitting Sean Modster nine times for 129 yards and all three scores. Boise State has now won six in a row since a 19-13 setback vs. San Diego State, scoring 30-plus points four times.
Utah State is unbeaten in the conference, falling only in the season opener to Michigan State. That includes eight wins by at least 10 points and four games scoring over 60.
The Lobos have fallen out of bowl contention, dropping six in a row since a win over UNLV back in early October.
Awaiting either Boise State or Utah State will be either Fresno State, Nevada or San Diego State. The Bulldogs are a game up on both teams in the West division.
