For the first time since 2015, Clemson football has gone unbeaten in ACC play, finishing off an 8-0 slate with a 35-6 victory over Duke Saturday.

The Tigers, who clinched their fourth consecutive division title with a victory last week over Boston College, kept pace with Alabama for another run at the national title.

While the end result was never in doubt, it was a slow start for Dabo Swinney’s bunch, as the Blue Devils took an early 6-0 lead on a pair of field goals. From there, though, it was all Clemson, as they scored 35 unanswered and completely silenced the Duke offense.

Trevor Lawrence, the talented freshman quarterback, remained unbeaten in his career, throwing for 251 yards and two touchdowns, Travis Etienne had 81 yards on just nine carries and scored twice, and Justyn Ross had a big game with four receptions for 76 yards and a score to honor his mother on Military Appreciation Day.

Clemson will look to wrap up its second unbeaten regular season in four years with a win next week at home vs. South Carolina, while Duke closes with Wake Forest in search of an eighth win on the year.

Here are three takeaways from the win by Clemson Saturday night.
