3. Trevor Lawrence has Heisman written all over him

He has a long ways to go to catch the top choices right now in the race for the Heisman, but you better believe Clemson true freshman Trevor Lawrence will be among the favorites next year. Lawrence continued his incredible season leading the No. 2 Tigers with another near-perfect game vs. Duke.

Since stepping into the role of starter ahead of the Syracuse game, Lawrence hasn’t looked back – albeit for a brief delay when he was injured vs. the Orange. He completed 21 of 38 for 251 yards and two touchdowns Saturday night, adding another 26 yards on three carries, including a run of 19 during the contest.

The 6-foot-5 native of Georgia who broke several of former Clemson great Deshaun Watson’s high school records, would one-up Watson if he takes home the hardware before joining him in the NFL down the road. Lawrence also broke the single-season freshman record for touchdown passes, recording his 20th and 21st to move ahead of Kyle Parker.

With just four interceptions on the year and four games of at least 250 yards, there is no doubting that Dabo Swinney made the right decision when he named Lawrence the starter over Kelly Bryant.
