2. Deondre Francois is still clutch

Despite not having his best day passing the ball, Deondre Francois showed just why he won the starting job to begin the season. He showed veteran poise during his 18-for-38 day, throwing a 74-yard game-clinching touchdown with under two minutes to play.

Not getting down on himself, Francois kept going at it, even when things looked bleak in the fourth quarter after Boston College extended its lead to 21-13.

Francois just kept working his way out of a mini slump, having a clutch moment in the fourth quarter to win the game and keep his team’s bowl hopes alive. If it wasn’t for that 74-yard touchdown, we would be talking about the bowl streak of 37 years snapped.

The veteran quarterback finished the day with a lackluster completion rate, but he stepped up when Willie Taggart and the Seminoles needed him most.

He still finished with over 300 yards and that touchdown — he did have two picks.
