Michigan Football: 3 takeaways from tough win over Indiana in Week 12
By John Scimeca
2. Indiana may have revealed Michigan’s vulnerabilities
In the losing effort, Indiana clearly had a way to get under Michigan’s skin despite a clear talent disadvantage.
Michigan star quarterback Shea Patterson was held to a pedestrian 16-of-28 completions with one touchdown and one interception. As a team, though, the Wolverines rushed for 257 yards and averaged more than five yard per carry, paced by running back Karan Higdon’s 21 carries for 101 yards and one score.
Indiana running back Stevie Scott had 30 carries for 139 yards, one touchdown, and one fumble.
Indiana, which fell to 5-6 (2-6), will seek to become bowl eligible next week with a game against in-state Purdue.
