Both the Huskies and Cougars took care of business this past week, holding firmly onto the Top-2 spots in the conference power rankings ahead of their matchup this coming weekend. Washington State still has an outside chance at reaching the College Football Playoff, while Washington is playing for a return to the league title game.
Thanks to losses by both Arizona and Arizona State, Utah clinched its spot in the Pac-12 title game, winning the South division crown after taking care of Colorado.
Chip Kelly earned his first signature win as head coach at UCLA, besting cross-town rival USC, 34-27. While the victory doesn’t get the Bruins bowl eligible, it keeps the Trojans from reaching that key six-win mark and gives Kelly and edge in recruiting against Clay Helton.
