2018 Heisman Trophy Rankings: Two man race heading into rivalry weekend?
As excellent as Tua has been, Kyler Murray has been borderline just as good if not better. Murray has been very consistent throwing the ball and we could see the Sooners win back to back Heisman trophies.
The Sooners went up against the Jayhawks this past Saturday and although reports spread like wild-fire on the Les Miles hire, it had zero impact on the game itself.
This was one of Murray’s more pedestrian games as he threw for 272 yards and two touchdowns, will also running the ball eight times for 99 yards and three more scores.
West Virginia’s loss to Oklahoma State means the Big-12 title can essentially be wrapped up by the Sooners this weekend. The Mountaineers have one of the best offenses in the country but if Oklahoma can make a few plays in the second half it should be enough for the win.
This is a game where it should turn into a shootout as Murray could theoretically rack up six touchdowns against West Virginia. Look for it to be a back-and-forth battle with the Sooners coming out on top and winning the Big-12 regular season championship.
