Several ACC Football teams entered the final few weeks of the season looking to secure bowl bids, and in the case of Clemson, a shot at the College Football Playoff.
There were a few surprising results (especially BC vs FSU), and a couple of blowout losses for a few of the conferences top teams.
After a full slate of games, let’s take a look at our updated ACC Football power rankings.
Louisville’s horrible season continued with another beat down this past weekend. The Cardinals were again overmatched against NC State falling 52-10. The team has given up on the season and the effort isn’t there anymore after giving up 50+ points for the fourth straight game. A rivalry game against Kentucky could see another similar result.
The Tar Heels picked up their second win of the season, easily dispatching of Western Carolina. Will it be enough to save Larry Fedora’s job? Probably not, but at least the team hasn’t given up on the current coaching regime.
The Hokies’ season has been filled with inconsistency and poor efforts on the defensive side of the ball. They will have an uphill battle to get to bowl eligibility after falling to Miami 38-14. They will look to end their four-game losing streak in their rivalry game against Virginia as part of the Commonwealth Cup.
