Missouri Football: Tigers entertain reeling Arkansas in SEC contest
By Dana Becker
This Friday’s home game is a big one for Missouri football and quarterback Drew Lock as they host Arkansas in SEC action.
A victory by the Tigers over Arkansas would get them to .500 in the SEC and an eighth win on the season. They would also complete the year 5-2 at home and on a four-game win streak heading into a bowl matchup.
For Lock, this signals the end of his run as the Missouri starting quarterback. After taking over as a freshman in 2015, he has produced back-to-back 3,000-yard seasons, and is just 96 yards from making it three in a row.
While it hasn’t always been a perfect harmony between Lock and the fan base, he will go down as one of the best to play the position at the school. And he has been very, very good during the current win streak, completing 75, 68 and 70 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and just two interceptions.
The Razorbacks are on the other side of the spectrum, reeling with three consecutive losses, including a 52-6 pounding at the hands of Mississippi State a week after almost upsetting LSU. Arkansas’ last win came in late October when they topped Tulsa.
Here’s how you can watch Friday’s Missouri vs. Arkansas SEC contest:
Date: Friday, Nov. 23

Keys to Victory
As long as Missouri avoids any costly mistakes or turnovers, the Tigers should have little trouble racking up yards and points. This is an Arkansas defense that was completely dominated by Nick Fitzgerald and Mississippi State last week, and also surrendered 45 points to Vanderbilt.
If the Razorbacks are going to have any success, they will need to control the clock with the use of running back Rakeem Boyd. The former star of “Last Chance U” has rushed for over 700 yards on the season.

Prediction
This should be nothing short of a ceremony for Lock and the Missouri offense, as Arkansas is allowing 34.5 points and over 413 yards per game. The senior quarterback should easily surpass 300 yards passing, giving him his third consecutive season with over 3,000 yards.
Final Score: Missouri 35, Arkansas 20
