As we enter the final week of the regular season, spots in the New Year’s Six bowl games are becoming scarce. Let’s take a look at bowl projections.

It’s the final week of the regular season and there are still plenty of teams that are vying for a spot in one of the New Year’s Six bowl games. The primary goal of every team at the beginning of the season is to make the College Football Playoff, which includes two of the New Year’s Six Bowl Games, but the next best thing is making one of the remaining four games on the NY6.

Being the champion of a Power Five conference guarantees you a spot in one of the four remaining bowl games, if you haven’t already qualified for the College Football Playoff.

And now that we’ve informed those who didn’t already know how it works, let’s take a look at some games that could determine who does, and doesn’t, make a New Year’s Six Bowl Game:

  • UCF looks to keep their undefeated season alive as they go on the road to take on USF.
  • Oklahoma and West Virginia go head-to-head in a game that decides who goes to the conference championship game.
  • Washington and Washington State battle for the Pac-12 North Division title.
  • Michigan travels to Columbus to take on Ohio State to see who will represent the Big Ten East.
  • LSU looks to get its 10th win as it goes on the road to battle Texas A&M.

With conference, playoff and New Year’s Six implications on the line, it is going to be an exciting week of college football. So cancel in shopping plans you may have and sit down in front of the TV all day Saturday, or you might miss something spectacular. but for now, take a look at our updated New Year’s Six bowl projections.
