3. Jake Browning has plenty of experience in these games

Let’s face it, Jake Browning is no stranger to big games. The Washington senior nearly pulled out a big win over Oregon in Eugene this season and he came just short against Auburn to start the year. He did lead the Huskies over Utah in the first month of the season.

But that’s just this season.

The Huskies’ star quarterback has been phenomenal over his career and he’s passed for over 11,000 yards at Washington. To say he has experience would be an understatement, especially in these type of games.

In fact, Browning has never lost an Apple Cup, going 3-0 in his career, he’s won a conference title and has made a College Football Playoff, facing off against Alabama. He knows how to play in the big game and he’s usually calm, cool and collected in those situations.

Though Gardner Minshew is one of the nation’s best quarterbacks and an absolute breakout star, he hasn’t played in an environment like he’s going to see on Friday night. Experience is key.
