2. Clemson will have two serious Heisman candidates in 2019

It’s a little late for Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne to make serious cases for the Heisman Trophy this season, but the young duo will be two of the nation’s top candidates in 2019.

Lawrence took over for Kelly Bryant who had led the Tigers to multiple College Football Playoff berths and was injured in his first game as the full-time starter and concerns began to creep in. He returned the following week and has been consistent ever since.

The freshman quarterback has taken the nation by storm and he continues to show why he’s got a bright future and will soon contend for a Heisman.

Etienne, too, will be a serious candidate and had a nice 150-yard game against the Gamecocks. These two have been one of the best backfield duos in college football and, get this, they’re underclassmen.

We are going to see at least one more year of these guys together and that’s bad news for the rest of the nation.
