In one of the most exciting games of the college football season, Oklahoma football defeated the West Virginia Mountaineers by a score of 59-56.

On the Friday night of Rivalry Week, the No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners traveled to Morgantown to face off against the No. 13 West Virginia Mountaineers. The Sooners entered the game 10-1, with their lone loss coming by a last-second field goal, in the Red River Showdown against Texas.

West Virginia, on the other hand, has looked incredible at times, but at other points in the season, the Mountaineers have struggled. Two games specifically, where West Virginia played poorly, were their matches against Iowa State and Oklahoma State. These two games were the Mountaineers only losses prior to Week 13.

Coming into the game, both teams knew that whoever came out on top would be earning a trip to the Big 12 Championship Game. In the end, Oklahoma came out on top, 59-56, in an amazing Big 12 shootout.

Here are a few things we can take away from this game.
