1. The young talent on this team, especially at wideout, is insane.

There are two guys that deserve game balls and so much more after this game. I don’t think anyone is arguing who they are either- Quartney Davis and Kendrick Rogers. Both are sophomores, meaning they’ll be in Aggieland for at least one more season.

Davis tore an ACL in 2016 that sidelined him for that entire season, a heartbreaking blow for a guy so excited to be an Aggie. However, that hasn’t stopped him from making big time plays all season long. He made the biggest play of the year though with one second on the clock to send the game to overtime. He also caught the game-tying touchdown in the seventh overtime. The two-point conversion was scored by the other player of the game- Kendrick Rogers.

Rogers is a true sophomore. However, he surely hasn’t played like one as he continues to ball out week after week. This week was no different at all. He caught two touchdowns and two conversion attempts in overtime, including the game-winner in the seventh. He is also known for the “how did he not break his back” catch against Clemson in Week 2. Simply put, Rogers has made big-time play after big time play keeping his team in games when it counts the most.

The fact that both of these guys are just sophomores should have the entirety of Aggieland excited for the future. These youn playmakers have shown that they have every ability to make contested catches when they are needed most. Congratulations to both of these guys, they both deserve every ounce of praise that they will surely get in the coming days.
