Week 13 claimed some victims and spoiled College Football Playoff dreams. Aside from that, what did we learn from last week’s action?

It’s the point in the season for some teams where quite literally every game matters, especially when playing a rival team and hunting down a spot in the playoff.

While some teams (like Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame) secured a foothold on their playoff spots, other teams (like Michigan and Washington State) were afflicted by the dreaded second loss to stifle their hopes of a run to the playoff.

Even the non-playoff affecting games, like the showdown between LSU and Texas A&M culminated in one of the most thrilling games of the year –– in a wild overtime finish.

Rivalry week permitted a slew of teams to claim bragging rights over their mostly in-state, conference opponents and while the table is set for postseason action, some will be left without a seat.
