Week 14 is championship week with College Football Playoff spots and New Years Six bowl games on the line. Which teams should be on upset alert?

Welcome to championship week. While some may prefer the championship week be scrapped in favor of an eight-team playoff, traditional fans prefer championship games. This week features some five-star match-ups and a couple games with the potential to surprise.

Before we get to this week’s games, we bounced back in the last week of the regular season, nailing two of the five upset picks. We correctly guessed Michigan falling to Ohio State along with Washington State being upset by Washington. West Virginia came close but Oklahoma ultimately prevailed.

This week has a lot on the line for teams. First off, what kid doesn’t want to hoist a championship trophy in their college career? It does not matter if it’s a Power Five conference or a Group of Five. These games mean a lot to the players. There are also playoff and New Year’s Six considerations. With an upset or two, the entire playoff picture could look different than how it looks now and that is what makes the sport so great. You may think you know what is going to happen and then some underdog ruins it all.

We promised to not put Alabama on upset alert again after blowing out LSU and that will remain the case, although the SEC Championship game against Georgia should be a fun one. But the other games are fair game. Let’s get to the three upset picks this week with the betting lines provided by Oddsshark.
