Ohio State Football: 3 bold predictions against Northwestern
1. Dwayne Haskins throws 40+ passes
It’s no secret that Haskins has had the most prolific season ever for a Ohio State quarterback, throwing for 4,000 yards, 42 touchdowns and only seven interceptions. But the Buckeyes have relied on Haskins a lot more heavily than Urban Meyer would have liked due to their struggles in the run games. Production picked up at the end of the season, but the Buckeyes went up against some banged up defenses.
Northwestern’s defense has improved as the season has moved along. In the month of November, the most rushing yards they allowed were to Illinois, however the Wildcats had clinched the division and were likely trying to prevent an injury before their trip to Indianapolis. We have seen Ohio State’s offensive line struggle mightily at times this season and I have a feeling those issues will creep up once again
Ohio State will have to win this game behind the arm of Dwayne Haskins, which they’ve done all year, have not done so in comfortable fashion.
